Handicapped or Disabled, When i here someone refer to a disabled person or service as handicapped I don’t know why i just think it more degrading than saying disabled.

when i watch films/tv shows from anywhere out side uk they always say handicapped NOT DISABLED

      So whats right

I think it’s a bit of both, I have disabilities which prevent me from doing certain things, effectively handicapping me.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

As a generalisation I prefer ‘disabled’.  ‘Reduced/Limited mobility’ is okay.  ‘Differently abled’ is a bit cringe-worthy (imho) but, to be fair, it does sound more positive.

I hate the word ‘handicap’ – unless it relates to horse racing.

@Martino it’s two words but the same meaning. Like Alsatian and German Shepherd  ?? of which we have three. ???♥️

I have never liked the word handicapped.

? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

the other one is “registered disabled”. Where is the register & do we have to call out “yes” when our names are called?
