Agreed a pain in the butt made worst if you have or allow a smoker in the car (I never do) but most every day window cleaners does it for me and always using a brand new never used before lint free cloth.

I only need to do mine once every other month and that’s just as well with the massive rake some of these windscreens have.

I agree Michael, But smoking is a bad habit. But vaping is better than cigarettes.

Keeping your air-conditioning on removes any moisture and thus reduces fogging. Doesn’t have that much impact on economy anymore and most cars are set to have it on by default for this reason.

If anyone does smoke or vape in the car, just open the window a bit and direct your exhale towards it, the pressure of the moving air outside will drag it out.

If I seem a little strange, that's because I am.

Air conditioning doesn’t have a big impact anymore? The numbers vary of course from manufacturer to manufacturer (as well as weather, size etc), but the normal numbers are 10%-20%, which correspond to our current car (we lose around 11% on average, sometimes more if it’s really hot outside and we crank it up).

That’s actually quite substantial. Ours also isn’t on by default, it saves the last setting. Unless of course we set it below ambient, which then requires the compressor to kick in – but it turns itself off again as soon as the air is dehumidified and the correct temperature reached.

I do vape in the car when i’m by myself, vinegar with a good microfibre cloth is the answer for me.
