Found grants team very unhelpful and willing.

Apparently a disabled persons comfort isnt important its about height and measurements. Which is outrageously ridiculous.

I explained that how can a person with a severe physical disabilities needs be put down to measurements and not the actual comfort of the car and what if it leads to early termination as its unsuitable??

Tbh I get where you are coming from but on the flip side so many go undersized for their needs that ends in an early termination.

Eg can’t fit wheelchair in boot be wise they opted for the all singing all dancing suv rather than bit more basic medium van and such like.

Measurements of equipment etc should always take priority and then the person’s needs.

Completely agree. Although when a person has a severe physical disability as well as their equipment being factored in they need to factor the actual persons disability. Not just equipment.
Someone with a physical disability cant sit long in an uncomfortable car

I had an amazing experience when dealing with the grants team.

I sent them a letter from my doctor and told them I needed a 4×4 because of where I live and a large SUV for my hoist and they basically asked what I wanted.

It seems to be such a random experience.

Yea i just cant believe it. I mean to not factor in a person living in pain but for it to be about measurements and height only is absolutely ridiculous to me

What measurements and heights are they asking for?

They arent asking for any. They are saying they go by basically if its the right height for you and boot capacity… Not factoring in the pain the disabled person is in uncomfortable seats etc
