Possibly at the end of the year. The US version was released a few months ago and we were hoping the latest UK version that just came out (MY23.75) would be the facelifted version but it wasn’t.

If you’re after an FHEV or PHEV version I’d wait for the facelift version, the current versions have yet another recall and it looks like parts may not be available to sort them until later in the year. There’s a couple of serious issues, con-rod breaking and totalling the engine and a few have caught fire due to fluid build up/leakage.

Both Oscarmax and myself placed orders in April and then cancelled when we found out about the issues above.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Also, according to the Motability specialist at Ford Guilford the KUGA SYNC4 entertainment system is not happening anytime soon.

Sync4 is standard in the new Escape so will be in the new facelift KUGA when it appears along with the larger 12.3″ screen as currently fitted to the Ford Focus.

Bristol Street Stafford, the Kuga will not be fitted with SYNC4, next year the Kuga is to replaced as off yet they are not sure of the new name for the Kuga replacement.

The Ford 2.5 Duratec engine is reliable virtually bullet proof , I cannot understand what Ford or should I say Fords accountants with there cost cutting measures have done to render this engine unreliable.

To date there is not current fix until Q3, l have cancelled and gone elsewhere.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

I had had my Kuga FHEV Vignale two months now and it has never missed a beat covering 500 miles, quick off the mark, excellent on fuel, no worries with the engine and no problems with Sync 3 at all which has had an update.

Sync 4 looks too big stuck on the ford dashboards and you lose many physical buttons for heating and cooling.

There is nothing to say it will affect every vehicle, I was very reluctant and disappointed to cancel the Kuga PHEV, unfortunately Ford are still manufacturing the Kuga but are unable to release the vehicles due to technical problems.

I was not too fussed about SYNC4 I have my own Garmin Satnav
