So I ordered a allspace 29th Dec last year and was given a build date of around mid April even though our current car finished 29th March, then covid happened and they closed factory 2 weeks before build date, I’ve been looking online and found they were due to open 15th June at 30% capacity but then puebla goverment decided to keep it closed until 18th july, was thinking with reduced capicity our car would be built some time in August and I’d probably get it October, current car extended 6 months so no probs, anyway woke up today to an email from vw saying car had been built and was in transit, ( weird considering factory supposedly still shut) thing is I spent money I’d saved for AP thinking I’d have time to save it again before car came so still hoping it will take at least 6 weeks to get here to give me time to save AP

Think mines coming from Mexico or does it go through Germany for final testing or something

They all come via the port of Emden Germany, I think you probably have a couple of weeks, it is possible to track VW vehicle delivery online I believe

Mine might be on the same ship then, ordered end of December, got the ‘in transit’ message a few days ago!

I’m a mixture of excited and apprehensive mate, looking forward to new car but it’ll be a wrench to give back my alhambra, quite simply best car I’ve ever had in every way apart from being bit heavy on fuel like

Tommy, feel the same way, we have an Alhambra too! I’m hoping this car will live up to its reputation, and if it does we may well keep it for 5 years.

Tommy I’ve just been on to live chat, who are a bit useless but told me it can be 6-8 weeks from when you get that in transit message to the car arriving.
                    That would suit me to.

Thanks mate, yeah 6-8 weeks better for me too, I know it can’t compete for space with the alhambra but hopefully make up for it in other ways, I got the match model in auto with 4×4, did you get same or the sel?

Tommy same, dsg auto diesel match 4×4 in blue. Bit of a bargain because I think it’s gone up about £1000 this quarter!

Didn’t get the 500 off, couldn’t travel at the time. Happy enough with the price for what we’re getting, probably be our last big car.
Maybe a little run around next time for zero ap lol
