RobertI ordered in January for April handover don’t know when it was built dealership never informed me of anything other than a call a month ago to say hopefully car will be delivered to them at end of this month. This will be my 6th car from 6 different dealerships and never had any correspondence from any until handover.

Lord MucBrad, seems like mine is being built on the same batch, hope to collect late September. I got in early,, put down a large deposit. it’s now a six month wait. I thnk the current delays because of covid, and the supply and demand from lockdown, are making some of these cars just not viable, a six month to a year wait, that’s too long for a short lease.

Chris GWhen did you order it Brad? I ordered a 218i M Sport Gran Coupe at the start of July. Got given a build date of January but had a call from the dealer last week to say the build had been moved to the start of December, so I should have the car before Christmas! To answer your question it can depend on a few factors but I would say about 2 weeks from build to you finally driving off from the dealers forecourt, to take account for time for transportation and PDI. I keep telling myself it will be worth the wait!!

FBHi everyone, I ordered the BMW 3 series around July and the build has been completed now for around 3 weeks but the expected delivery date is 15th of October. It has departed plant (left the factory) and has been waiting to be headed to the port for over 3 weeks now. Just don’t want anyone to get there hopes up as there can be a delay in getting the vehicle to the dealer. Have been checking my status via the BMW live chat on their website. Thanks FB
