Just a brief question, i’m wondering why the option to edit a post as a user is so heavily restricted?

I can’t really think of a reason why editing is restricted to 5 minutes after posting, i’ve had a few times now where i posted a second time instead of just editing the prior post because i remembered a detail 5 minutes later.

Is there any particular reason why that is, or was it default and just never changed? And if it was default, could we have maybe 10-15 minutes for editing before the post “sets”?

Of course there could be a reason that i’m completely missing, never really ran a forum.

Yes it seems to be on a time setting of around 240-300 sceonds. Why I don’t know

Cheers, it’s not a “gamebreaking” problem, of course – but it would make the odd post more convenient, and tidier. As someone who frequents a few forums where double posts are actually against the rules (teamliquid for example, for almost 20 years now), it does feel odd to do so every now and then.

Would certainly be appreciated.
