I’ve just had a driving lesson this Morning. We did reverse parking into a parking bay. I hated it and found it difficult but was my first lesson doing it. But I start to feel like driving’s too hard sometimes. How long did it take you guys to learn to drive/ how many lessons

@Brad The thing is like most things, the more you do it the easier it becomes. If you find something difficult to do, as your instructor to practise more on reverse parking. Good luck with it all Brad.

I had a total of 10 lessons. The 10 lesson and the test straight after. Job done. I had been driving under my Girl friends tutorage as well, so that was a big help. I married the girl friend by the way lol that was 41 years ago.

10 lessons isn’t bad at all. Of course the extra practise without the instructor must help a lot

i was lucky in a way, i was in the army and the only drawback in a way was the lessons were in a 3 ton truck lol. made transitioning to a car interesting. although i was helped by a neighbour who “supervised” me in my first car travelling to and from barracks for the month of the course so i had 3 times the on road practise of others on the course.

big difference between a 3tonner and a hillman imp lol.

also interesting as we were in germany so on the wrong side of the road but the advantage of no roundabouts.
