could i report this would anything be done could i get financial compensation

if i was not disabled would this not happen or is it harassment of a disabled person  because its stressing me , disabled if your neighbour is regularly picking on you over years complaining about everything your doing but other people in the cul de sac

      stuff they complain about

me getting takeaway deliveries at night,

      taking my bins out

where i park my car so i move my car further away so they can park there  even though my walking is difficult

what time i come in at night as the car makes to much noise

they also complain about my dog barking i have another neighbour that has 5 dogs that bark all the time and they have very loud parties in the garden till 5/6 in the morning but they say nothing to them .

when i went out my wife was always in the house to watch the dog but she passed away in 2021 since then if i need to go out i need to leave him in the house .

of resent their complaining is getting worse when i came in recently he was standing out side the car complaining about the dog this happened 3 or 4 times  he says i should take the dog with me i said i can’t manage to get him in the car cause i can only use one hand and i struggle and cant manage ,, he said not his problem, i asked him why he doesn’t complain to the other neighbour about  their dogs barking all the time and parties they have

its horrible i used this but i said i feel you just pick on me because im disabled,

a month ago they confronted me in asda then last night i was in the house all night and the dog didn’t make a sound until i went out to get my daughter from the train i left the dog in the house i set a timer i left at 11.50 pm got back 12.20  parked the car got to the door and the lady opened her bedroom window screaming that dogs been barking all night , i said nothing and went in.

      any thoughts

Condolences on the loss of your wife.

Sorry to hear your having trouble with your neighbour. However to claim compensation or complain to your local authority/police, you need evidence of some sort. Unless you have a neighbour who will reliably back you up. If thats not possible your best option is to have a CCTV, that will also record audio in the area/s your most abused. The benifit of CCTV is its time and date stamped and will stand up in a court of law. Such a system need not be expensive and can be wireless but, it needs to provide adequate picture & sound quality and needs to be recorded on a hardrive or the cloud as long as you can recover a copy that shows the date/time stamp to give the poilice and for evidene in court. Screwfix, Toolstation or the likes Amazon will probably have what you need or you can ask for a quote for a cheap system from a electrician or cctv installer if you have no one to help fit a diy system. You could even rig a camera up indoors as evidence providing your dog doesn’t bark constantly as evidence. Any advice on CCTV fitting or whether something is suitable please ask

You may well find fitting CCTV your neigbour doesn’t bother you anymore!

Another option, only if you think your neighbour won’t get physical is record the abuse on your phone.

Esit. It is also advisable to contact the police on 101 and report/log a complaint everytime your neighbour throws abuse at you. By doing this will also build up a file of evidence, should you need the police to attend and can also be used in court towards evidence.

If you live in a council or HA property, it can also be reported to them as well.

You are not in a good situation Martin.   But any action will require proof or evidence.

I have a couple of these (see Below) from ali Express. – £20 and you will spend andother £7 on an xsdc card.

The software and control isnt great but good for the price.  I ahve one on my drive and another pointing at my Hedgehog feeding station.

KERUI 3MP 5MP WIFI IP Camera PTZ Control Outdoor Two Way Audio Human Detection Auto Tracking

Just do a search on Ali Express for that.

You have to be careful you are not pointing the camera outwith your property.

Try making an appointment with your Citizens Advice and go from there.

You need to keep yourself legal and have the ability to protect yourself.

There are organisations that can help.Citizens Advice will help you.

Mostly the only thing the Council can offer is Mediation. But usually conflict is beyond reconciliation.
