ajnHello, We’re Back from a week away, dead flies on the wind screen and all over the front of the xc40.?
How to get them off, no power washer just a hose, and don’t fancy paying £6 for spray stuff…
I’ve asked them to leave, don’t think they can hear me, or simply not listening..??

Great photo. Great to have you back ajn.
We are forecast a bit of rain, let the flies soften up before tackling their removal, think of them as a holiday reminder.
April 24, 2021 at 7:07 am #146366Yes loosen with hot water then I’d use my wheel brush in a bucket of hot water with car shampoo

Job done sit down with a Kenco ice coffee and biscuit
April 24, 2021 at 7:33 am #146371You sound like you have a collection of endorsements Mike, the only detail missing is what biscuit, dunked or undunked? Can you even dunk into a Kenco iced coffee? (other iced coffee brands are available, though presumably inferior)

I’d forgot that the most beautiful beaches in Europe are at Menorca just 2 hours away paradise and so easy to drive on traffic free roads paradise

PenultimateDrivingMachineWelcome back Ajn. I think the X1 has a shield against such instances. If you fancy changing to a premium brand sometime I’m told the X1 is a proper BMW. Unlike the Volvo and owners you won’t find any flies on them.
The handling and pure exuberance of the gearbox should see off any unwelcome pests post-haste!
Also think a bucket of warm soapy water applied 5 minutes before a wipe over will do nicely.

ajnWow thank you so much for the welcome back, PenultimateDrivingMachine apparently…
Lots of IF’s, thoughts, and should’s?,never mind it’s your honest opinion….
So well done and thanks for taking the time to read my post ?…
For the sake of £2 at Asda power wash, I think I’ll stick with the Volvo brand, obliviously it’s getting lots of attention from certain people..
Have a great day today you deserve it?
