Re posting and not to worry if original post was deleted it happens lol

Done the same/worse myself in the past

Update Ohme now charging at expected rate

All it took was a call and without explanation from Ohme a few days later my c rate of charge went up

My detective mode now switched on I suspected something was wrong when I rang and had to give my name and charger ID 3 times

I now think that they had not updated the system to tell it

I am no longer a pending install but I had actually had an active account for a few months

Maybe the installer should have made a call to them?

      Suspect that was the reason.

2nd installer that has not impressed

Mind you not surprised when a contractor is playing catch up due to increased work load as he will grab whoever is cheap and available at the time possibly a sub contractor who sub contracts another sub contractor

This is the case with most things the more that bite out of the same apple the poorer the service imo

Good to hear your charging speed has upped. However whats the crack with the CT clamp or are you just hoping your total load doesn’t out do the main cut-out fuse ?

I still have the Easee equalizer in situ and working

Is that enough to balance load? as not too sure on how or what does what tbh

Wondering if the ct clamp was there from before not to sure but will find old pics and check

Should be ok with the Easee Equalizer still in place

Just come across that you had agreed this to be the case on my post October 4, 2023 at 7:15 pm

            cheers m8

The Equalizer balances the load in real time between your charger and home. It is meant to be used in conjunction with a CT clamp or Rogowski coils. It can be fitted to  buildings with or without a smart meter – I can’t remember whether a clamp or coil is required if you have have a smart meter, so will check later.

To Add I do not have a smart meter

Whilst on that matter and just chucking this out there

I like my payg which is now no dearer than direct debit

I have not done all the sums but it seems for me there is no advantage to a smart meter as my mileage is quite low and the current BG payg base tarriff which is the bulk of my usage is less than octopus Int ( last time I checked) but I will keep a close eye on things as never say never

CT Clamps and Rogowski Coils must be fitted
in the correct orientation to read incoming
                  power line.

You may find this useful for future reference, as it shows with/out smartmeter, via the lefthand tabs.

I believe this is your meter cupboard!

As posted by you on 23/8/2023 “Only Ohme being offered at the moment”

I remember you asking what the box was and me asking, what was on it, as it was unusuall to see one fitted to single phase as, they are usually seen on 3 phase supply to balance the the loads. Although they can be fitted to single phase supply’s they are at extra cost as they aren’t included with the charger and they aren’t cheap. Or something along those lines
