DBtruthI really like the new A1. Cool interior and solid feel. I bet it’s great fun to drive with the 1.5 engine too.
when is your estimated delivery date?
January 9, 2020 at 2:24 pm #102672That looks very cool and stylish!

WinstonIt’s great looking car, and if the size suits you then fantastic! It’s sure to give you a smile on collection day ( and after ) great choice! Enjoy ??

DBtruthRoughly 12 weeks which is about average from my personal experience with the VAG.
Im sure it will fly over. I hope you post some pictures when you get it home.
I’ll be having a look at one when I start touring the showrooms in a couple of months.
Enjoy!

ThargWell done, James – I know what a long, convoluted process our choice of car can be! The A1 seems a good car; was near top of my shortlist but the 2dr Cooper S won in the end on performance, handling and two doors (easier to get in and out) . However, if the 40tfsi A1 had been on list I’d probably have gone for it (it is, after all, under 200bhp and well under £30K).
Now, about the Giulia… no, I must put it behind me and welcome my level-headed, rational choice…. sob!
January 9, 2020 at 3:43 pm #102686The Giulia has gone so you can rest easy with good choices, we had to go for the countryman Cooper S and how good that drives I can only imagine how the 3dr mini or the A1 do. GoKart and then some.

turbocattgood choice james.i went for the a1 sportback 35,£999 ap.did not fancy stiffer suspension of s-line.
went for contrast roof and pack with heated seats(a must).supprised s-line style edition does not include any of the packs, all are extra. same has sport back.had car two week,no problem with 1.5 tsi engine, but I have got automatic.happy driving.
January 9, 2020 at 8:13 pm #102712Well done JamesG, great choice and I’m sure your homework and research on vehicles will pay off as it’s a great looking and specced car.

ThargJames – couldn’t help myself; had to go to Audi website and spec up your choice just to see what it’s like: it really does look The Business. Enjoy!
Must compare notes when new mounts arrive…

ShaineNice choice Jamesg. We have 2 motability cars in my household and both are due replacement in Nov and Dec this year. I’m starting to look at the options available a little closer now as the months go by. You and I have very similar taste in cars judging by some of you previous posts regarding what to change into this time. The A1 is a contender for us too at this point.
