Darrin GreenHi, I have ordered a Renault arkana e tech engineered on 25 November 2022
with the q4 war pensioner AP of £1542, but now in q1 2023 it’s only £710. Can
I cancel and reorder at the lower Ap? As I probably will have to wait for delivery anyway. Thanks Daz.

it is simply a paperwork job for the dealer as they get the same fee whatever just give them a ring.
i am going to do the same for my nissan juke hybrid although thats only gone down £192.

Dave WhitneyI to have ordered the Renault Arkana Engineered and the deposit was £2750 and I’m a little bit miffed to see its now £1995. Motability have told me I have to pay the higher AP. The reason I’m miffed is that we were told to order ASAP because of the long delays, if I’d hung on until Q1 I’d saved quite a bit of money.
Does anyone know of a way around this or is it a case of “Suck it up Buttercup ?)?

Speak to your dealer – they will put the order through at the reduced AP without you loosing your order or place in the Q.
Its a common so nothing to worry about 🙂

LeeI’ve done this today,I rang my dealer and said the ap has reduced and he changed to the lower amount straight away ?
January 3, 2023 at 8:34 pm #204590Just to clarify, the order (which is between the dealer and the manufacturer) does not need to be cancelled in order to benefit from a lower AP. All that needs to change is the admin between the dealer and Motability, which takes just a few minutes.
This is an important distinction, as many people wrongly assume that because a car shows as being ‘ordered’ on the Motability system that it has been, when often it hasn’t. This is why some Motability customers wait many months longer than others for the same car, because the dealer has processed the admin with Motability but is awaiting a build allocation slot before actually being able to order the car from the manufacturer. The Motability system effectively just shows that they have authorised the dealer to place an order – not that the dealer has actually ordered it yet!

Agreed GG, but I think those not fully aware of the process, it easier for them to understand the dealer will put the “order through at the lower AP whilst at the same time keeping you position in the Q” Rather than saying they will re-authorise your ar with Mb at the lower AP.
Agree or disagree Sir GG ?
