Can all vehicles be fitted with adaptions?

Having done a search & not found a definitive answer, I thought I’d put it out there & ask.

Are adaptions (namely a left foot accelerator & steering wheel control knob with ancillary controls) available across all manufacturers & models?

I can foresee some of the smaller compact cars having limited space for the flip pedal’s?

but are all the scheme cars equally suitable?

We have just extended our current car, so we’re good to place a new order at anytime.

So on the recommendation of her driving instructor & if the expected timeframe of our local test centre are correct, her test & hopefully a pass, could be here sooner rather than later.

We’ve been on the scheme for a number of years, tho this would be the first time in taking an adapted car,

So is anything off limits to fit her requirements?

Always best to check with your adapter first.

Never had a problem with the left foot accelerator on any vehicle we have had, though depends on the vehicle if you can fit a flip pedal or the removable plate type pedal.

          Cheers volkswin.

Waiting on a full adaptation assessment, then hopefully an adaptation specialist will give us the full heads up on vehicle suitability.

So far a mini is on her wish list, followed by a red mini, a yellow mini & a green mini with a Union Jack roof.

On a side note with regards to adaptions, either motability or dvla!

Is a disabled driver, (other than the motability customer) able drive an adapted vehicle?

ie: do they need any certification that they have been trained / assessed / compliant / approved to drive an adapted vehicle (left foot accelerator)

The case being that the wife has had a previous stroke, (amongst other conditions) that left her with right side weakness, so a left foot accelerator sounds like a possible option?

Although the wife could use her pip award against her own motability vehicle, this would be unpractical & overkill to our needs.
So hopefully 1 adapted vehicle for 2 disabled drivers.
