Anyone have any updates on BYD, they have been at the shoes this year, and arnold clark seem to be offering the vehicles for motability*.  Has anyone seen this, test driven or perhaps even got one? I would love to have a look at the Atti 3, it pretty much fits my needs.

      Cheers

It may be a deal done between Arnold Clark and Motability, that the car would be available scheme. It could also be why its not seen on the scheme because, its only available other than from certain Arnold Clark dealers around the country.

I popped into a BYD showroom last week and they advised the Atto was on the scheme and they had already processed a few orders for Motability customers.

Seems odd when it is still not showing on the search……

I’d be interested in the BYD Seal if it joined the scheme later this year.

Its aimed at the best-selling Tesla Model 3 and the new Hyundai Ioniq 6, so that includes an array of cars that are also aimed at the model 3 and ioniq 6, such asthe BMW i4.

There will be two drivetrain options, both powered by an 82kWh battery pack. The entry-level rear-wheel drive model offers 308bhp 5.9s 0-62, while the range-topping all-wheel drive version packs a 523bhp punch, enough to take the Seal from 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds. DC rapid charging can be carried out at speeds of up to 150kW while AC peaks at 11kW. WLTP range figures are 354 miles for the rear-drive model and 323 miles for the all-wheel drive model.

It has aso been confirmed it will loose the “Build Your Dreams” slogan after much critisism from Europe. The Seal is 4.8m in length.

Prices will start around £40k no idea what AP’s will be if it sof launched.

It is also expected the SUV version of the Seal will join it later “Seal U”

“Practicality is where the Seal scores well, thanks to that compact blade battery taking less space beneath your feet than rivals’ less space-efficient power packs. There’s loads of legroom up front, as well as for rear passengers, where it easily matches the Model 3, and pulls clear of the Polestar 2.”

You’ll also find if look at the specs the legroom and it has more legroom than the i4 which is in short supply for adults anyway. Never been a fan of Whatcar TBH as they seem to be more of the odd one out when comparing with other UK motoring journo’s 🙂

Ooh yes please! But they’ll have to open a branch closer than Scotland 😛

Atto 3 listed on another well known Motability search site, well, found using Google. It’s curious not to be listed on the official site.
