As anybody ordered / test drove the BMW x1i

I had a 20D xdrive for 4.5 years before I switched to a Nissan Ariya and I loved it. I know it hasn’t got the old idrive, which I miss but I still like the look of it.

I had an iX1 30e for a full day earlier last year and didn’t like it. If you search back and find it I did a review comparing it to my current 20i petrol X1 which, in all honesty, I was glad to get back into.

If you can’t find it let me know and I’ll summarise the main issues.

X1i not tried but, I did drive the iX1 edrive 20 and felt it was underpowered. The edrive 30 would be better but, not driven it as it has less range than the 20. It also misses out on the idrive controller…

@kezo Is 200BHP not enough for 20MPH, and if you get on to the M4 half of that is 50MPH if you’re lucky. You live in the same part of the world as me and as you know speed limits are coming down on all types of road. Just get a comfortable ride and a good stereo and relax. They’re doing their best to take all the joy out of driving. The road tests I have read on the ix1 seems to be favourable.

I’m thinking of an horse and cart and a car parked just over the border, for the rest of my journey ?
