hi I orded a 2 series grand goupe m sport the dealer has told me she booked the bulid in for the first week in September is there any way to track it online? they gave me a configuration number but dot know where to enter it on there site lol

Hi Matt

There is no tracker available sorry to say.

However. As you have a configuration number (Order number) then this is how you can get info on how your build is doing. https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/all-models/2-series/coupe/2019/inspire.html

Apart from asking your dealer, go to the BMW build config web page for your car.  Look at the bottom right corner for this   Click on the live chat button and ask for build progress on your car. Give him/her you Order number and they will look it up for you.

That is how I got around no tracker. Let me know if it works for you.

Yes there was saintsman. However. It was for the USA market only.

We took the Gran Coupe out for a test drive yesterday. Along with test driving the X1 and X2. Lincoln bmw dealer said the same about the delivery time for the Gran Coupe, March 2021.

It was in the UK in 2016.

Yes, I used it in 2016 too. You had to go to the BMW website and talk to the chatbot and give your order number. It gave quite detailed tracking info and definately more useful than the BMW sales person.

I had the same fun and games with my X1.
I was told it was ‘at paint’ one day and then within a couple of days was driving it. ?

Its not as reliable as other manufacturers full on customer trackers.

just got an update on my order build date is 24th aug and delivery should be 14th sep fingers crossed

Not to long to wait then Matt. The build takes a week and allow a week for delivery. BMW are a just in time manufacturer.

Where can I get my order number from? I’ve asked the dealer 3 times now and still not got it and starting to annoy me now. The number I have is the build number and the chat said I need the order number

the number I have starts with a 5 the man on the chat said it would start with a 4 or a 5 tell them you need the number that’s starts with 4 or 5 and see what they say

If you have the chassis number they can track off that too.

That’s what I used when I got mine. Managed to track it right to which ship it got put on.

Thank you I managed to find out it is due to be built 9th November so should hopefully have it by December.
