After 280 mile trip a mixture of all roads averaging 4.2kw. Ii do think 300 miles is possible, mainly driving in comfort mode ‘B one pedal’

This does not show you traveled the distance, its only the predicted range.
April 2, 2024 at 12:20 pm #270869It does say that they averaged 4.2kw though, which backs up what they’re saying.
April 2, 2024 at 1:04 pm #270879You must not be pushing the gas down at all getting that sort of range on a e35 model, did you do a 280 miles trip on 1 single charge from 100%?
I’ve been averaging 2.8kw (201 miles at 100%) unfortunately enjoying the rapid power of the car, I’m trying to get to 3-3.5kw maybe cruising on a motorway trip will help, have yet to go on it.

Where? what’s shown is a prediction, before the vehicle is driven, that will change once the vehicle is driven
actual range can only be measured from a full battery to zero and mileage driven at the end, not the start.
Im afraid this is the trap most EV users fail to see. It is only an estimate based on the past, not what you will get going forward.
April 2, 2024 at 1:58 pm #270887This is more a true reflection, especially from a vehicle build on a non bespoke EV platform
I would also add 200 miles true range is more what I’d expect considering current temps etc.

Where?
In the first sentence – ‘After 280 mile trip a mixture of all roads averaging 4.2kw’
April 2, 2024 at 2:28 pm #270890Ignore the picture and read what is said. I’m quite sure the poster is aware that the image is only an estimate. It is their car after all.

yes he said that, but there is no proof
April 2, 2024 at 2:29 pm #270892Why do you need proof?

We don’t, maybe the wrong word, but just in this thread alone there are 2 different owners stating different ranges, and since the OP posted a picture of the “estimated” range before any trip it does not confirm anything unfortunately.
At current temps it would also be highly unlikely that we would see the theoretical maximum vehicle range just yet.

@ScotT You’ll be aware that there is a suite of Journey data in the i4, including averages since factory, since trip start, since last charge and since manual reset. I have no doubt the OP has achieved an average of 4.2 miles/KWh .My own average is 3.4, but I saw 4.4 on a gentle but not sedate round trip of 120 miles.
Yes the range in the picture above is only an estimate but at a 4,2 average, 300 miles would be technically quite possible
2024 - BMW i4 Grand Coupe eDrive 35 Sport
2020 - Volvo XC40 T4 Inscription
2017 - Audi Q3 TFSi Sport S-TronicApril 2, 2024 at 2:55 pm #270897its good to hear people are getting these figures
April 2, 2024 at 4:37 pm #270923@ScotT You can easily get 220-250 miles on average even during this season, it depends on driving style and pre-conditioning and wind flow can be at its advantage, regardless of long trips there’s super fast chargers at service stations in most areas so it wouldn’t be a hassle.

April 2, 2024 at 4:54 pm #270929My main runs are A roads and quite hilly I’m lucky if I get 3.4 per kw if the roads clear in front of me I’m in D mode and freewheeling down the hills with D regen set to low .
when I’ve been doing more stop starty runs through town I’ve been getting 3.7 in B mode
the car was on 80% this morning and estimating 180mile range.
April 2, 2024 at 5:38 pm #270936Done 4.4Kw quite easily today just put it in start stop ACC letting the car do all the work with air con on and economy mode using B mode selection.
