FootlooseHi
i currently have a BMW 2 series GC in misano blue that I picked up on 30/12/20 and it has been a fantastic car and due to select a new vehicle in September and I’ve always been a fan of the mini JCW so it’s possible I’ll select that if still on the scheme but if I had to keep the GC I’d be happy and anyone thinking of it should go for it.I love the looks and it’s easy to drive with plenty of room. The amazing thing was I managed back then to get £500 off AP so I think I paid around £700 as it was a bargain back in 2020 I think.

Lord mucYup, it was. We were in and out of lockdowns when i got mine! The mini jcw is in my sights too, but maybe i would find it a bit too small. Have sat in one recently and just thought, how much i am getting over the GC, living in london, speed and traffic limits of 20 mph most places. (Unlike winston’s lovely scottish roads), I don’t think the minis have wireless google/airplay, and the mini doesn’t have the rarity and wow factor in imho, every one in the family has a mini of some sort. Maybe i need to look at the converible.

ChrisHey Footloose, how did you get £500 off?
I ordered one when it first came out, (£1200) but cancelled my order due to us having a large dog, so went with a Tiguan R Line. That cost us £3500 ish.

Lord mucDealer contributions at the time, on bmw, £500. It was certain dealers like snows, but when shown the offer, most dealers, gave it to you. You could easily find the offers on the internet.

FootlooseHi Chris
As lord Muc says there were several offers at the time so I just mentioned it to the dealer and they didn’t hesitate ?

RogerWilkoTo paraphrase others on costs of APs on other cars, I wouldn’t pay £3,000 for a BMW, then again, I wouldn’t pay 2sgillings and sixpence for one either

You haven’t given a reason why?
Personally I enjoyed having X3,, X5 and 5 series with no major problems off the scheme. Even if they came on the scheme I wouldn’t have one as Im dead agains,t that kind of outlay on any scheme car I would never own but, then there’s others who will which is fine 🙂

FlushWe managed to get £500 of the AP of our BMW 1 series in 2020, this was done through Stratstone BMW, it was as simple as contacting Stratstone and mentioning that other BMW/ Mini dealers where offering a dealer discount of between £250-£500 off.
I am currently trying to contact Stratstone to see if they will provide another discount on the AP for 218 GC which I must say it’s AP is extremely high. With Motability providing their £750 and if Stratstone offered the £500 it would be worthwhile even though a lot more then it was 3 years back.

Lord mucFlush, at one point Snows were doing zero ap on BMW, I put a hold on a lovely red i3s, but over lunch me and the misses, fell out over the EV vibe, and it went to someone else, on this forum. Lol.
