Hardly representative of a normal month, though, is it?
Hi Saintman
I’m one of those idiots who has a diesel but being disabled with not a lot of money because of massively reduced household income after becoming disabled I have to accept Motability / Manufactures hand me downs and diesel was the only suitable car that I could afford the AP on.
If you can get by with Dinky toy electric cars, fine, but for the vast majority of disabled folk that shoe does not fit and I hate to think what the AP’s are going to look like when seven seat electric, or five seat and loading space for scooter or wheelchairs come along.
I would love to go electric and indeed a halfway house was on the cards for the Mitsubishi PHEW but failed in the end on loading space, then it was petrol but failed because the manufacture wanted 9 months to deliver so I end up with a diesel.
The way things stand now with renewal next year my next car might be 70% chance of being petrol and 30% chance of being diesel but 0% chance of being electric.
BTW my diesel car does overall 38 MPG and the petrol equivalent model does 22 MPG if your lucky and with no electric suitable or affordable cars on the horizon in what way is a diesel an idiots choice?
