Through your instruction a while back Joss is how it got here, I had no idea how to post one before that..

So hopefully I can put it to good use..

I think those of us who are naturally cautious and courteous will just need to further extend our vigilance while we carry on as usual keeping pedestrians safe.

I’m guessing though that the majority of drivers on the road do not fall into the above category.

My advice to pedestrians would be “Don’t expect most drivers to either know or obey the change of priority rules”.

I find a great difference with drivers here in the countryside compared to the large cities, especially London, however with constant traffic jams, and having lived their for many years I understand the frustration.

Maybe post some up fwippers, Country lanes & cyclists/tractors/ horses/cattle and all those other things..

If possible/safe I would always try and let people cross the road when the weather is bad. I hate trying to cross the road in the rain.

To counter act this I will be having an additional 6 dash cams fitted in my car. Just call me see more.

When I moved from that London to rural Somerset some years ago, I was amazed to see drivers and pedestrians doing the “after you” – “no, after you”  routine as if there was all the time in the world – which there was.
