Hi guys. I bought an Audi a1 second hand a few months ago about September time and it’s been on the drive since. I haven’t had time to get all the paperwork with Dvla sorted as I’ve been travelling and working a lot. I’ve came home today and tried to start the car. The cars battery is very low and when I turned it on a bad smell was coming out the car and the tire has gone down in the past few months. Looking for some guidance as to what to do as I’m clueless when it comes to cars and none of my friends would necessarily know. I can’t drive it. Would the best thing to ask a mechanic to come to the house and have a look at it? Just looking for some guidance on what you guys would do. As I say, Im not smart when it comes to mechanic work at all ?

Sounds like the battery might be cooking if its a sulphur smell. Get it out of the car ASAP I would suggest as there is a risk of fire.

I think it was the AA who came out to my car and replaced the battery, competitive price. Might have been the RAC though – expect both do it.

I’ll contact them at some point. You from Dumfries mate? Spent many years camping and adventures around Dumfries and Galloway, kippford, castle Douglas etc etc. Exploring all around Galloway Forrest park good times. Great place
