Should be picking up new car in next couple of weeks and wondered if motability cover subscriptions for things like satnav and speed cameras.

My other half bought a new Citroën in 2020 and had to pay for these via app.

As my new car will be a Citroën too I wondered if these are covered and if so how?

The first year is usually covered, anything after that I think you’ll need to pay for.

we have extended our lease on our 5008 and connected nav was included in the 3 years but no longer. We had to pay the subscription ourselves.

Same as Retro89 our B Class came with 3 years premium services included, we’re now into an extension and they have expired but it’s no great loss. I certainly wouldn’t pay for them.

I would imagine Motability would consider them as optional extras if they’re not included and as such would not pay for them.

If I seem a little strange, that's because I am.

Thanks for replies. I find satnav without live traffic is a waste of time. Current Seat has lovely satnav but no live connection so been using my old Tomtom

Hopefully Android Automotive will be subscription free when it becomes mainstream?
