So I’m picking my new Peugeot 208GT up after a 4 month wait tomorrow, the question I’ve got is the advance payment has dropped a lot. At the time I ordered my car the payment was £699 but it’s not on the motilbilty website and for the spec for £299. Do you think they would grant the lower price? Or don’t I have a chance to question this? Any advice would be appreciated

You should get the lower price @Kellychx but it would not harm to ask the dealer about this prior to pick up day. Once a dealer places the order on the Motability system, the AP is fixed. If it goes up you don’t pay the increase. If it goes down, the dealer is able to cancel and re-order on the Motability system without affecting the ‘proper’ order, which is between the dealer and the manufacturer.

Contact the dealer today and tell them you want the car putting through at the lower AP. This should give the admin side time to adjust the AP for you.

No harm in asking, but personally I think it might be too late. The time to get a dealer to re-do the Motability admin in order to get a lower AP is when the car is still on order. Asking the day before you pick it up when the car is at the dealers would seem a bit cheeky to me, but nothing ventured……..
