Almost every single person in my family has the cold. I’ve been coughing and spluttering for days as have my kids, grandkids and son and daughter in laws.

Every shop I go into there are people coughing and a family doctor in our extended family says their surgery is inundated with parents wanting antibiotics for their kids.

I went to a (school related) church service this morning and it was like being in A&E. Children and old people all coughing. Could hardly hear the choir.

My daughter is a primary school teacher and they have a “Strep A” and “Scarlet Fever” outbreaks. The parents are climbing the walls with worry ?

All our extended family have it, brother, sister, nephews, nieces etc. We’ve been to 3 events in the last two weeks and we’ve managed to stay clear of it. Both of us had flu and Covid jabs in October.

I started wheezing over 3 weeks ago it progressed to a full blown cough with green phlegm,then last weekend i started sneezing with really bad head cold with plenty of snot getting blown into tissue regularly,still coughing anall.

No colds this year, no flu, no infections, no jabs, a short duration mild dose of COVID in September.   Fingers crossed it continues. Commiserations to those suffering – it’s retched, but it passes.

ive stayed away from everyone, as ive done for closing on 3 yrs now. i stil wear a mask if close to folk, and use a liberal amount of gel, soap water etc. so far so good… but its a lonely life

Well I managed to dodge the Mrs aj lurgy, so no cold, flu at all, however still take precautions when out and about to fend off the couldn’t care less brigade..
