Reading about the glitches and issues suffered by XC40 Recharge P8 (the pure electric one) owners, led me to research the Android Automotive OS which seems to be the source of the problems.
There has been lots of talk about its future use across various car manufacturers but Volvo are the pioneers here and it seems there’s a long way to go:
