Another Aldi recommendation from me. Aldi frozen steak bakes, they are 2 for £1.19, they are very similar to the Greggs version. I cooked them in the air fryer for 21 minutes at 190c. I don’t eat a lot of pies but these are very nice.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

These pies from Iceland are nice, microwavable from frozen in 4 minutes. Shortcrust pastry that does not go soggy, they also do chicken ones.

We have an independent family bakers in the Northwest, Greenhalghs, their pies are lovely.

I do love pudding chips peas and gravy from the chippy. Not sure if puddings are a Northern thing, but I love em.

The yummy meaty suet pudding of the past!

You can still get “Brockley” puddings (minced beef) in one or two North staffs chippy’s, but no form of them exist in Wales anymore other than tinned supermarket variety.

These are what we get in the chippy oop North, you can buy them in the supermarket but the chippy ones are a bit bigger and fresh in each day rather than frozen.

We can get Fray Bentos in Wales supermarkets but, like most things Fray Bentos, its a challenge to find any actuall meat in them these days.
