Given the amount of profits motability make and the length of time we wait on new vehicle’s should motability not consider change the AP to when collecting vehicle if AP has gone down you automatically pay the lower AP .

Would be nice, but if that happens, you can contact the dealer and have them amend it to the lower payment for you.

Almost always an easy process, unless you get someone at the dealership who thinks it’s money from their pocket you are asking for.

My last dealer refused I had waited 8 months so didn’t want to cancel for the sake of £150 .This time I’ve went to another dealer I’ve been waiting 7 months and still no updates the AP has went down £600 and this other dealer is also refusing insisting it cannot be done.

Sorry to hear the aggro you’re having. Sounds like you have some terrible luck with dealers.

It happened with one of my cars a couple leases back, and they just did it all for me.

Will definitely be others much better versed in the intricacies of this, and hopefully they’ll be able to give some advice.

Name and shame and see if a call from me can help to presuade a change of heart

I’ve never had a lease where the AP isn’t paid until collection and if in the meantime the AP drops between ordering and collection have always paid the lower amount. ?? Since when has this changed. Have an ID4 on order and dealer hasn’t taken any deposit.

I’ve had a salesperson say in past that they will automatically reduce the AP for me if it drops
