Wmc Mazda are way late to the electrification revolution, better late than never, I suppose. This range is fairly poor for a new BEV so a bit disappointed in them.

There is no doubt that things will, and are, changing with battery pricing and range. As I said on another thread Tesla are to announce something big next year. I read that it could be a battery super/ capacitor combination, where the capacitor is used when acceleration is required and tops up from the braking system regen. Tesla bought Maxwell technology recently and they have huge experience in the super capacitor field and in battery build efficiency. I think it is worth noting that Tesla have no agreement with anyone to supply batteries for their China giga factory. Panasonic supply the batteries for Tesla’s built in the USA.
