I do see the ideal and the good side and I’m sure would be a great thing for those that don’t drive or are blind etc. if they don’t already use taxi’s as a means of getting about but my worry is, let’s say this did happen on a big scale with say 20% of Motability users take up the taxi option and all is great on the western front.

The years roll by, government come and go then some wannabe PM come MP somewhere thinks this is such a good thing we will make all disabled folk use taxi’s because its best for them and after all they know what’s best for us don’t they.

Now you would think no one is going to support that but our mythical MP who likes to make out is our friend and doing us all a favour but there real motive is to cut the benefit payments, after all should such a system becoming compulsory or pushed forward for all disabled folk then there would be no need for the benefit would there.

So how would it be possible for a political party to gain momentum and pull the wool over general public on such a drastic scheme and we only need to look no further than how PIP was pushed on us and all the needless pain, deaths and suffering that has caused.

Even within the these walls we see disabled folk sort of say “it’s great ideal as long as there are exception for me” but like PIP, there will be no exceptions and yes I even thought the ideal of checking folk to see if they really do qualify for extra help by checking the claimant is a good ideal but what they actually did do is persecuted disabled people, some of them to their early graves.

So while we say its a great ideal, and yes the ideal of a taxi service run by Motability for disabled customers does sound a good ideal on paper, but we need to be careful of backdoor benefit cuts because they will argue that xxx amount of billions of £’s could be better spent somewhere else.
