Manufacturer fits are not an issue it’s after market fits Motability have an issue with, the same as Chips or Remaps, nothing is allowed that may forfeit warranty, this is not to say you can’t have a dashcam just plug it into the socket and stick it on the dash, having it hard wired by a third party is an issue and may seem petty but why should the manufacturers pay or the insurance company because the workmanship has caused a fault or even an accident.
