Can’t say for sure what the situation is now, but several years ago before I myself became disabled, I worked as a carer for a lad who had a motability Fiat Doblo. Some kids threw some stones at it and put several dents in the bonnet – when he reported it to motability, they basically said he could have it fixed if he wanted to, but as it’d been reported it wouldn’t affect his GCB – I can’t say if it did or didn’t as we fell out well before the car went back but I do remember him getting the full GCB on the Ford Galaxy he had before the Doblo and that surprised the hell out of me as the driver before me had NOT looked after it in the slightest. I was genuinely worried he was going to get a couple of grand of bill when it went back, not a cheque in the post…
