UK has one of the lowest rates in the world, we are second behind Switzerland if you remove island states and cities like Singapore.
I’d suggest the increase in over 60 motorcyclist deaths is because motorcycling has become a pastime for old folks, young uns really don’t bother. As for the increase in other areas…mobile phones, texting account for the bulk of it. The use of average speed cameras reduces the speed but does nothing for “without due care & attention.”
