Sorry this is going to be long.

People blocking roads and stopping people going about there everyday lives be it going to the shops in a car or going to work working your butt off 11 hours a day to pay for the benefits for hippies or education of kids who bite there hands is not going to get there cause any supporters, or at least not everyday folk who are not snowflakes as you said.

Governments have used taxes on fuel and rubbish as a means of support and have now become dependant on it just like we’ve become dependant on oil and gas and with the taxes on rubbish we now have piles of rubbish in our once green and pleasant lands everywhere by fly tippers simply because the government made something that has no value valuable by putting taxes on it though of course some do have a value without taxes, anyone remember the old rag and bone man?

Transport has got cleaner and cleaner over the past 50 years but governments of all colours use divide and rule tactics to get more of our money at the same time as pretending there our best friend and look after us all. Nothing wrong with that if it benefits us all but what I don’t like is the way the little worms twist things to make it look like there the good guys.

Government enforces the local council to take action on pollution when there the ones that are suppose to make the rules. Meanwhile local government can’t do anything other than make things worst by pretending there getting everyone out of the cars and onto cattle trucks when the truth is told were all buying more cars because we don’t want to be treated like cattle waiting to be milked by Firstbus Stagecoach cattle wagons.

As an example my local council last year took down a footbridge over a dual carriageway where the traffic, pushbikes and foot-walker went about their lives with no problem with pollution and no danger between the users of the bridge and road.

They take down the footbridge and install pedestrian traffic lights so they tell us they need to make it more friendly for pushbike users and the disabled, laugh, yes they even use us to pull the wool over their voters eyes and they all think there doing us a favour.

Well they also put a sticking out pavement in except its not a pavement its a non pedestrians area as the bridge crossed further up the road but the result is traffic that once travel through that system at 60 MPH in the 70’s, 50 MPH in the 90’s and now 30 MPH has to stop at a traffic only junction and you have to twist your head around like an Owl to check the emerging road is clear and we now have a clogged up, chocked up junction but hey its great for the disabled who once had a footbridge with ramps with no traffic and what’s more very little pollution.

Then there’s the sticking out bus stops where the pavement is extended into almost the middle of the road so the buses don’t need to pull back out into the traffic flow.

Great ideal but it does not help with pollution because again where there were no traffic jams we have massive tailback causing massive pollution all to save the bus having to pull back out into the flow and yet I always let buses pull out in front of me but don’t now because it cause too much pollution.

Still with me LoL, then we got chicanes and the council are very fond of these but this is how they work in the minds of the dicks at town-hall, because the road is narrowed to one lane traffic has to give-way in one way or the other but for pedestrians it’s great because they only have to cross one lane. Wrong again, this is how it works in the real World, a pedestrian and two car in both directions arrive at the chicane, one car has right of way the other has not and although in the perfect World the pedestrian always has right of way what happens is the car, bus, lorry that has right of way gives a sign for the car that does not have right of way the go head to come through chicane but our poor old pedestrian think there being given the go ahead to cross but the other car is now moving into that space so in the end the pedestrian waits for god knows how long to be sure of crossing the road safety meanwhile back on the road the tail backs are going back hundreds of metres, in fact back to the last or next chicane in the road with the end results miles of tailback chocking up the road and this happens nearly every hour of the day rush hour or not, 16 hour traffic jams where we didn’t have any before.

So why does the council just not put down a Zebra crossing and everyone is happy, well I think it’s all to do with the bigger picture and that is cause as many traffic jams as you can get away with along with as much pollution they can possibly cause and hey presto we’ve got congestion charges with the blessing of the people and the rich can go about their lives in their cars unhindered by all those folk who are now on in the cattle trucks.

Cynical maybe but I don’t think so as they already got the foot in the door with diesel cars and other will follow not because of pollution but simply for taxes and getting all the working classes and poor off the roads while the rich can get to the golf course faster before spending an hour in the office conjuring up other ways to screw us and the Lemming can’t see it.

Technology is the way to solve pollution not treating us like fools and cattle and I don’t care if they run on water or electric as long as were not expect to go about our unfortunate disabled lives in three wheeler cars, then again maybe I should be thankful I’m not in one of those cattle trucks.

Saintman I don’t recall anyone calling you a snowflake but just to say that loads of forces folk were members of CND back in the 60’s and nuclear weapons are still here and today having relatives and the way they think in the forces I fear Putin stepping into Poland more than pollution.

Please forgive but I used to be sooooo passive obedience until I was put through the HMG/DWP/DLA/PIP mangle. ?
