They are always keen to look to be doing the green thing in york, I remember sitting in a cafe having breakfast in the centre just after the no cycling fine thing came in and in the hour I was there I saw a group of 15 yellow vested muppets accost about 2 dozen cyclists riding on the precinct and force them to walk after getting ID and then giving them a ticket for the fine, it was the funniest thing ever, some tried to ride away and were physically dragged to the ground, others were screaming and shouting, some just took the 5th, the police were there and some even got arrested and had a ride in the happy bus. I remember thinking I was glad I drove a car that morning. ?
