When the referendum was being canvassed and undertaken I thought that remain would win. I cast my vote anyway. When the result came in I, like most of the world, was gobsmacked. However, I turned to my wife and said i”meaningless, it still won’t happen, the powers that be don’t want it and one way or another they won’t let it happen and they’ll be aired by the EU who don’t want it either”.
Three years later, even with Bojo’s determination and latest move, I still don’t believe it will happen.
There will be a general election before long and only then will parliament (and I use the term collectively, irrespective of party or leave/remain) begin to see the damage that has been done, by themselves, to democracy in this nation.
