Ok that’s odd then Dave my tiguan has the camera and remote opening and closing tailgate with the feature of waving a foot under the rear bumper. The reason seat and Vw gave in the USA was it is a safety feature on 7 seat cars? Then another dealer said it’s because there is no reverse camera? Sounds like a cop out to me. But I agree they shouldn’t sell cars without knowing all features after all that’s their job. I did make sure the dealer went through all features on mine. I think I’d have walked away if they left the closing feature off of ours. No dealer would have talked me into entering a PIN number.
Hi – I told the salesman when I collected it that if he couldn’t modify it to remote close with the key as promised that I will have to consider rejecting it – he agreed with this and said that he would mark it down on the handover sheet – which he did.
He has agreed to come back to me with a solution soon -otherwise I assume as he said that I can just return the car.
