Some franchises tend to stick together and agree not to discount and going by previous posts although some have managed to on an individual basis it seems ford and vauxhall try and stick to the No Discount rule set out by Motability and Manufacturers. Even though it has nothing to do with them, so it really comes down to timing and if a particular dealership needs sales to hit quotas etc. If your dealer is close keep popping in, when approached tell them your there to look at other models as the one you wanted and was willing to order Is just out of reach AP wise, your be surprised how many thinking a guaranteed sale is on the table will step out and go speak to the sales manager.
