Your dying to try electric or hybrid. So hopefully something you like comes on the scheme soon.
But regarding city driving, if you do lots of short journeys, most hybrids won’t work on just electric till the engine is warmed up, so your burning a lot of fuel until that happens.
They really only suit you if you do longer mileage.
Our car does a minimum of 1000 miles per week so one would suit us at the moment. But there was no large hybrid suv on the scheme in the two quarters we were looking.
So in the end, VW suited me best anyway, plus they offered me £500 more then wba for our old touran without even looking at it. plus £600 off the AP meant we were over a £1000 in the black and drove away with a new car.
That goes a long way to pay for fuel, but my kids fill it up when they are using it. Which helps a lot.
