As Rico says the technology already developed in the vehicles will all stay in place it’s just how the power it delivered, the use of batteries will still be there just on a smaller scale for regenerative, solar storage etc but the electric motors will just be fed from the fuel cell.
I for one love the way power is delivered by an electric motor and the instant torque at any speed is fantastic, having a way to refuel at any fuel station whenever we want but keep the electric motor aspect and the fact you have an automatic thrown in is the way to go.
As soon as these come on the market in numbers as once the fuel cell and hydrogen production is sorted it will be a relatively simple process for manufacturers to implement into the production process I will be signing up for one straight away.
