Spent the last couple of days looking at the aftermath of Motability’s attempt at an April Fools joke (well it’s certainly a very bad one!) 🙁

My shortlist of cars for looking at in October is now an actual “short list” 🙁

In the “not ideal but will do” catergory,

Toyota Urban Explorer Design at £0 (only lowest trim level offered)
Couldn’t justify £2899 for the Suzuki eVitara (same car) in the top trim level

BYD Atto3 2026 Design, waiting for prices but hopefully £1999 same as present Comfort model

Then in the “Might be possible” catergory,

    Kia EV5 Air at £2999

Smart #1 Premium at £2999 (just noticed it’s gone up from £1999) 🙁

Geely EX5 Pro or Max at £2999 or £3999

And in the “overpriced and highly unlikely but would be nice” catergory ……

    MG S6 Premium at £6499

Kia EV5 GT Line at £5999

Other than those it looks like a PCH lease would be the best option.

The Frontera Ultimate over 2yrs looks a good deal BUT two of my neighbours on the estate have had them and returned them for being (tries to think of a nice word) a “sometimes moving piece of cr@p”  Dealer support is non-existent as is Vauxhall/Stellatis’s interest in sorting the many faults out.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
