I first joined the Motability scheme in 2008, since then the number of cars has been reduced from 4500 to under 700.
My current car will be my final on the scheme as private lease schemes offer the choice that I always look for and I can fortunately afford a slightly higher monthly cost for a far better car in terms of size and comfort.
With under 700 cars, stupid APs, the disappearance of European makers, means the current scheme is no longer fit for purpose.
Well done Richard ‘Dick’ Littlejohn and the rest of the Daily Mail pearl clutchers for hounding this scheme continuously over the years eg. ‘how dare disabled people get free cars’ !!!!
