What do people think about black as a car colour? I quite like the look of it, but I’ve heard it can show dirt and scratches more easily. Do any of you have a black car and regret it, or do you still like it?
I’ve lost count of how many cars I’ve owned, but only one was black. It was a mistake that I’ve chosen not to repeat!
My experience is exactly the same as others have stated. It looks good for no time at all. Even in dry weather a dust forms on it which makes it look dirty. Raindrops stain it. Polish leaves swirls. Every scratch shows. Cleaning damages it (swirls again). I could go on! Even white is far better to keep looking clean! Black and white used to be the ‘free’ colours on cars – for a reason!
IMO black only works on limos, where the chauffeur has the challenge of trying to keep it looking clean 😂
