What do people think about black as a car colour? I quite like the look of it, but I’ve heard it can show dirt and scratches more easily. Do any of you have a black car and regret it, or do you still like it?
Black cars, particularly metallic or pearlescent look fantastic when clean and polished.
The difficulty is keeping them that way!
Yes, they do show up dust and dirt very easily. Wash and lovingly polish/wax the car, then take it out on the road just once. You will come back and wondered why you bothered!
Having had a few black cars many years ago and living on a farm, I certainly would not get another. Other colours mask dirt much better and look reasonably ‘clean’ even when covered in a film of dust or dirt.
