@Bandit I’m not sure if this answers your question, but the reg change is all done online and the new (old) number is assigned immediately and you have a few days grace to get the plates changed. You are immediately issued with a certificate (online or via email – can’t remember) which you show to get the new plates made up. It’s all dead easy.
