@mitch is the front lawn in front & side bit by the hedge communal and maintained by your housing association / Council as part of your rent or is it down to you to maintain it.

Its a shame Ohme won’t install chargers where there is no off street parking without wanting to take control of across pavememt solutions, which is far out of the scope of a standard install Motabilility are willling to pay for.

The government grant for renters has increased to £500, along with a budget untethered charger, it would be ideal if your HA would go this way and install such a device, even if it meant you buying the type 2 charging cable and cable mat to cross the pavement, which you need to do anyway, but thats unlikely.

I think going back to the original plan and doing on the QT is the best way. Yes by all means have them fit an outside socket, even if its a rear corner of the house, you can still extens it as originally planned coming from your lounge with a sitable length of https://toughleads.co.uk/products/ev-extension-lead You could even mount it on the flat sided piece of decking acting as a post by the hedge at front side of house and use a suitable lengh granny run down to the tree by the hedge at front garden of the house and use another piece of decking acting as a post to coil up the remaing lengh of cable required to  reach the car and attach the cable mat at the point it crosses the pavement. That way your not bending and just coil it back up again.
