You don’t even know half the story about why we’re sending our kids so far away. Our son was hospitalized twice because he was beaten up so much by other kids in our local secondary school. I don’t think many families send their kids to that school now. It’s also the only secondary school in our area.
My son has autism, and unfortunately, other kids pick up on his vulnerabilities. Last year, we moved him to the same school my daughter goes to now and he was much happier. His grades weren’t strong enough to continue at the previous school, so we had to place him in a college far away. The same reason we placed our daughter in this school too.
It’s outside our allocated school area, which also means we can’t get funding for school trips.
