Kezo I’ve set up my old blu ray player put dvd in working fine with hdmi lead when get new Oled do I use an optical cable ? Is that better than old hdmi lead ie even better picture ? Also on a new LG Oled can you record a channel while I’m in bed ?
Optical or commonly refered to as Toslink and can be alternativel be HDMI ARC eARC however these are for audio mate, not video.
HDMI CEC, allows 2 device or more to communicate and control each other and needs to be turned on, in the device settings (TV), which probably won’t interest you either!
Recommend you just use HDMI and as before, don’t discount mini LED TV’s.
