the marroon was my initial favourite in the gt-line trim not so sure in air the matt plastic is the only drawbback. so i was thinking black may hide it a bit. but yes i think the maroon is the pick of the colours.
In my opinion there is something to be said about matt plastic around the wheels. Firstly, it less in your face being toned down and that subtle look suit many colours, away from your standard RGB better. Secondly, gloss (piano black), show imperfections like scratches or swirl marks like a sore thumb. Its not something high would rate high on the list on my next car, its bad enough inside a car let alone ouside lol.
There a gels you can to make it look shiny with out the negatives of high gloss paint. You can buy where some last around a year but something, I never bothered with on previous car and the plastic don’t fade like they use to back in the day.
Although its the Kia EV5 Air, hopefully you can see what I mean, because its maroon, which is toned down deep red, the mat wheel arches don’t look out of place and in many ways suit the car better than stand out gloss would?
Even on the brighter blue EV4, the matt still doesn’t look out of place, as much as you’d think?
