By jove, tosh. I would say Vauxhall have only lost the plot recently since Stellantis took over. I had a 200bhp 2 litre GTC on the scheme a number of years ago and it was an excellent car. Doesn’t change the fact that we’re starting to get some right rubbish added to the scheme these days.
I agree! Its only since PSA and later Stellantis ownership, Vauxhall gone downhill fast with pesky 3cyl engines.
I think we often overlook, China is a number of years ahead when it comes to BEV’s and without them europe would not battery cells for EV’s. The other thing to point out is, european auto manufacturers have been in bed with China with patnerships and joint adventure’s, not forgetting a number of european manufacturers build several of their cars, partnership plants in China and ship back to europe to be sold – Examples include BMW ix3, Cupra Taviscan, Citreon C5x, DS9 and Dacia Sping, not forgetting Stellantis brought Leap Motor to europe under their joint adventure, to avoid tariffs.
Unfortunately Motability only seem to be interest in the bottom range of what Chinese manufacturers build!
